Today publisher 2K Sports announced that its upcoming fighting game WWE 2K18 will be coming to the Nintendo Switch.

The Switch version will include new features compared to WWE 2K17, already announced for the PS4 and Xbox One versions. This includes the new customization tools, as well as the changes to the game's MyCareer and MyPlayer mode's.

WWE superstar Seth Rollins took to YouTube to announce the news. You can check out the full announcement video at the end of the article.

This is the first time that a WWE game will be making its way to a Nintendo console in nearly five years, with the last one being THQ's WWE 13 in 2012.

As of the time of this writing, its unknown whether the Switch version of the game will be getting the deluxe edition or if just the standard edition will be available. The Deluxe Edition of the game, which was announced back in June, includes early access to the game, the Season Pass, and more content which will be announced at a later date.

WWE 2K18 will launch on Switch on the same day as its PlayStation 4 and Xbox One counterparts, on October 17th, 2017.

Update: 2K Games reached out to DualShockers with an update about the release date. While the game will launch on PS4 and Xbox One on October 17th, 2017, it has a more generic "Fall 2017" window for Nintendo Switch.

Players who pre-order the game will be granted access to two different versions of legendary wrestler Kurt Angle, one based on his "American Hero" persona, and one based around his "Wrestling Machine" persona.
