Today, 2K announced that the current WWE Heavyweight Champion, the phenomenal AJ Styles, will grace the cover of WWE 2K19.

The latest entry in the WWE 2K franchise will feature a "massive" roster containing WWE Superstars, Legends, Hall of Famers and NXT favorites. As of right now, the roster is unknown but if the last entry is an indication of what we have to look forward to, then this iteration will not disappoint. Personally, I'd love to see Ricochet, Adam Cole, and Velveteen Dream make their way to this year's lineup.

The game will also feature "extensive" creation tools, different match types, and fan-favorite modes. Just like the roster, what this entails is currently unknown.

Three different editions are currently up for pre-order on the official website. First, the standard edition will include the game and the pre-order bonus character, "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey. In the past two iterations, bonus characters included WWE Superstars Kurt Angle and Goldberg.

The WWE 2K19 Deluxe Edition will include the aforementioned content, as well as the Season Pass, some more bonus content, and four days of early access to the game. The Collector's Edition will include everything from the Deluxe Edition plus premium packaging, physical collectibles, and Limited Edition WWE SuperCard content. The specifics of the physical collectibles and WWE SuperCard content are unknown and not listed on the pre-order page. Additionally, it seems that the Collector's Edition is only available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One since there is no option to pick a PC version to pre-order.

AJ Styles' inclusion on the newest iteration of WWE 2K19 is hot off the heels of his win at yesterday's pay-per-view, Money in the Bank. He defeated Shinsuke Nakamura in a Last Man Standing match to retain the WWE Heavyweight Championship.

WWE 2K19 will launch on October 9 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Those who pre-order the Deluxe and Collector's Edition will receive early access to the game on October 5.
