On tonight’s Monday Night Raw, a new trailer for WWE 2K19 was revealed announcing that Rey Mysterio will be a bonus playable character when you pre-order the game.

The trailer shows a slew of WWE Superstars including Daniel Bryan, The Miz, Bobby Roode, Asuka, and Charlotte Flair, and taking off a familiar looking mask stating a word that personifies them. For example, The Miz smiles at the camera and says “best” because he is an A-Lister and the most must-see WWE Superstar of all time…

The last wrestler shown was Rey Mysterio himself saying “back” confirming he will be back in a WWE 2K game because he is definitely not back wrestling in the world-renowned wrestling promotion. The last time he was in a WWE game was WWE 2K15.

Rey Mysterio is regarded as one of the best to have ever entered the squared circle. In the WWE, he managed to garner the World Heavyweight Championship, the WWE Cruiserweight Championship, the WWE Tag Team Championship, and much more. He had also achieved the longest time in-ring during the Royal Rumble at an hour and two minutes until this year when Daniel Bryan lasted an hour and sixteen minutes at the Greatest Royal Rumble.

One of the WWE Superstars featured in the new trailer will also be gracing the cover for WWE 2K19. Just a few days ago, it was revealed that the current WWE Heavyweight Champion, the phenomenal AJ Styles, would be this year’s cover athlete. Additionally, like last year, the game will come in three flavors: Standard Edition, Deluxe Edition, and Collector’s Edition. Similarly to Rey Mysterio, it was also announced that “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey would be joining the roster as a pre-order bonus.

WWE 2K19 will launch for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on October 9. When you pre-order the game, you receive early access to the game on October 5.
