As was promised, 2K Sports revealed the first information about WWE 2K20 this morning, and as I hypothesized last week, Becky Lynch will be gracing the game's cover this year.

Alongside The Man is that of Roman Reigns on the box art of WWE 2K20 this year. Both Reigns and Lynch have arguably had the most noteworthy storylines in WWE over the past year with Lynch headlining WrestleMania and Reigns overcoming cancer to later return to the ring. Even though we rarely see wrestlers share the cover like this here, it makes sense with both of the two that have been chosen. Lynch specifically has also now become the first female wrestler to ever appear on the cover of a WWE game.

Here's the first trailer for WWE 2K20 which features Lynch, Reigns, and a whole bunch of other wrestlers.

Along with unveiling the box art though, 2K also divulged some of the new details on what to expect in this year's edition of WWE 2K20. This year's story-driven mode known as 2K Showcase will focus on The Women's Evolution. You'll get to play in the shoes of the Four Horsewomen with Becky Lynch, Bayley, Charlotte Flair, and Sasha Banks.

2K Sports is also introducing something called WWE 2K20 Originals in WWE 2K20. This will continue to bring more Showcase modes to the game after it released. According to 2K, "Each of the WWE 2K20 Originals will present a new playable world and its own unique theme, with more details to be announced in the coming months."

Here you can find The New Day's Xavier Woods talking about some of these new features in greater detail.

All in all, this seems like another WWE game. The new features that have been discussed so far don't seem all that game-changing, but I'd love to be wrong. We should learn more of the game as we continue to near its release.

WWE 2K20 is set to launch later this fall on October 22, 2019, and will release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
