The next iteration of Visual Concepts professional wrestling "sim" is just around the corner, but we have yet to see any action from it... until now! A brand new trailer was released today flaunting WWE 2K20 gameplay, as well as some of the most notable faces (and heels) that have entered the ring throughout the WWE's history.

Right when the trailer begins, we get in-game shots of the two WWE Superstars who will be on the cover of WWE 2K20, Roman Reigns and Becky Lynch. The screen starts the break, and we get a glimpse of the Fiend Bray Wyatt. The trailer also showcases the Four Horsewomen (Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks, Bayley, and Becky Lynch) and some of the matches they had that sparked the Women's Revolution in the WWE. This includes Bayley and Sash Banks' amazing match at NXT Takeover Brooklyn and Sasha Banks and Charlotte Flair's Hell in the Cell match (which was a first for WWE women Superstars).

There are also small glimpses of the WWE 2K20 pre-order bonus called Bump in the Night. This is the first of the WWE 2K20 Originals DLC pack which allows the devs to create some whacky content you would not normally see in a traditional wrestling setting. Bump in the Night comes with 9 new playable characters, new Superstar parts, a 2K Showcase at the Wyatt compound, and new arenas.

For those who follow the WWE 2K games and NXT, some will notice a bald and bearded heel has officially made it to the game. I'm talking about former NXT Champion, Tomasso Ciampa. At last year's event for WWE 2K19, I had asked about his absence. The game's creative director Lynell Jinks said about the missing Ciampa:

"Every year, we work with the WWE very closely on locking down this roster and working with the talent as well. There are so many different variables that go into it. For various reasons, things just didn't work out."

While Ciampa never did make it to WWE 2K19 officially -- there were definitely player-created versions of him -- it does seem like things did work out for WWE 2K20. We also see some other surprising faces like Jerry "The King" Lawler and X-Pac.

WWE 2K20 is set to launch for Xbox One and PS4 on October 22, 2019.
