WWE 2K19 saw the MyCareer Story Mode had a more linear track with a fun and ridiculous story featuring your created Superstar, the brilliant Cole Quinn, and the WWE roster. The WWE 2K20 MyCareer Story Mode still maintains that goofy spirit, but brings both a male and female created characters to another wrestling tale.

At the beginning of the video above, you can see the creation process of both male and female wrestlers. We did speed up the process a bit so you don't have to watch me be indecisive. It is similar to WWE 2K19 in which you choose a class, which determines your moveset, and your characters look. It looks as if both male and female wrestlers have the same amount of options in terms of character creation; essentially, it doesn't seem one gender is favored.

In fact, much of the beginning features your female wrestler as it opens with your created superstar in a Money in the Bank match against the likes of Ronda Rousey, Charlotte Flair, and Shayna Baszler. Similar to the Showcase mode matches, there are objectives you have to complete in order to progress.

However, after speaking with Visual Concepts developers at the preview event, it seems that failure is an option this time around. We weren't given specifics, but it seems some matches will have different outcomes depending on if you win or lose the match. Again, how much this actually affects the story isn't quite known, but it is something new for the WWE 2K20 MyCareer Story Mode.

WWE 2K20 will launch for Xbox One, PS4, and PC on October 22, 2019. You can check out some zanier gameplay of WWE 2K20 with big head mode activated. You can also check out our preview to see DualShockers' impressions of the upcoming wrestling game by Visual Concepts.
