Last month, we saw the founder and Executive Vice President of All Elite Wrestling Cody Rhodes and wife Brandi Rhodes don Metal Gear Solid inspired entrance gear. This month, WWE's own Andrade "Cien" Almas and Zelina Vega dress in some familiar video game garb. Check it out:

That's right, it's Team Rocket. Specifically, the two are cosplaying as Jessie and James, the two members of the mischevious team who really want Ash's Pikachu. Although they are not sporting the correct hair colors of their respective characters, the hairstyles are very reminiscent of the two miscreants. Also, Vega is holding a Meowth plush, filling out Pokemon's most ridiculous trio.

Almas and Vega are currently under WWE's SmackDown Live. The two haven't made huge strides since moving up from WWE's developmental brand NXT. By that, I mean they both haven't had a belt. However, they have seen some success. Just last Tuesday, Almas, joined by Samoa Joe went head-to-head with Mustafa Ali and Rey Mysterio (yes, he still wrestles). While things looked to be in Ali and Mysterio's favor, Almas was able to pin Mysterio for the win.

Almas and Vega are also confirmed entrants in each of their respective Royal Rumble matches this year. Although all thirty entrants have yet to be named, Almas will be joined by the likes of Finn Balor, Seth Rollins, Apollo Crews, and The New Day, a tag team group who have worn quite a bit of video game inspired gear. Heck, Xavier Woods used to do a Hadouken as one of his finishers.

Is this a new trend? Am I going to write about wrestlers wearing video game inspired gear at least once a month from now on? Honestly, I really hope so.
