Yesterday, the internet exploded with the news that video game publisher, THQ, would have its studios and titles sold to other companies. Over time, THQ's image will dwindle until the publisher will cease to exist entirely, living on only in the memory of its former titles and employees.

While most of the company's projects have been spoken for, there were a couple that are currently out in the lurch. One of which is the WWE Games license - the other being Vigil Games, creators of the Darksiders series. Numerous reports have circulated in via IGN that the license will be picked up by Take-Two Interactive, owners of both 2K and Rockstar Games. Negotiations pertaining to this alleged imminent sale have taken place outside of the courtroom where most of THQ's assets were divvied up.

I can only imagine what ways the WWE license could be turned around if 2K were to give it the same treatment and care they gave their NBA games.
