Xbox now has the potential to bring a massive competitor to Nintendo's Super Smash Bros. and a fan has already laid out the concept for this fighting game.

Microsoft now owns so many popular video game IPs, and bringing them as Xbox exclusive games to Xbox and PC Game Pass is the least they can do with all these franchises.

When you own an IP, you obviously own all the characters inside it, and when you own characters, you can invite them everywhere you want!

Xbox Fans Now Want a Fighting Game Like Super Smash Bros.

While almost all gaming communities are talking about whether Call of Duty would become exclusive to the Xbox ecosystem, a Reddit user has spotted a very unique opportunity hidden in the recent acquisitions of Microsoft.

Last night, f_tom shared this self-designed image on Reddit, wishing to see something like this happening in the near future. And to be honest, why not?

Now that Xbox owns the rights for so many charismatic video game characters such as Master Chief, Senua, Marcus Fenix, Captain Price, Crash Bandicoot, Tracer, Alex of Minecraft, B.J. Blazkowicz, Vault Boy, and more and more, why not prepare the foundation for a multiverse fighting game like Nintendo's Super Smash Bros.?

As much as this looks tempting, Xbox has never had a top-notch exclusive fighting game so far, and they also don't own any studio with significant experience in developing fighting titles.

Outsourcing would be an option, but who knows? Maybe they form up a brand new studio dedicated to an ambitious project like this.

After the acquisition of Bethesda, we haven't seen any significant crossover between Xbox's original IPs and those of Bethesda so far. At least this was something that fans would probably expect to see in Halo Infinite's multiplayer.

That said, both companies are still in the first year of this merger, and maybe we could see more crossovers once everything is settled down for a while.
