The popular Xbox DVR service that allows clips and screenshots to be easily saved, shared, edited, and downloaded has launched onto mobile devices. Players can perform pretty much everything that the website allows but from the comfort of their mobile phone. The app launched on January 1, 2019, and was Tweeted about a day later on the official Xbox DVR Twitter account. It's worth pointing out that the app and website are not official Microsoft or Xbox products as Xbox DVR is not affiliated with Microsoft or Xbox.

The app will allow users to view, download, edit, and share any clips and screenshots taken using their Xbox One devices. Although, saying that, while it's possible to edit clips using effects and then download the final video file, editing of screenshots is due to be arriving soon. You'll also be able to browse users, keeping up to date on any clips and screenshots uploaded by your friends.

The app is due to be supported with future updates and will add continuous new features over time. An example of what features to expect will see albums, playlists, Twitch integration, YouTube uploads, challenges, comments, achievements, and much more.

As someone who enjoys grabbing clips and screenshots myself, this is a welcome addition to downloading my content. Previously I've been using the official Xbox app.

The Xbox DVR app is available on both iOS and Android.
