Xbox Exec Wants Your Feedback on Xbox One Game Preview Program; “Working” on the Name

on February 20, 2016 6:13 PM

One of the less known features of Xbox One is the Game Preview program, which is basically a similar service to Steam Early Access on Microsoft’s console. After its announcement at E3 2015 it has seen a degree of usage by game developers, but it seems not to have fully taken off.

Now Xbox Director of Program Management Mike Ybarra would like to receive your insight on the program, or even a notice of you have no idea of what it is (which is very possible, since it hasn’t been publicized all that much).

In response to a fan that mentioned that the service could use a better name, since it can get mixed up with the system software preview program, Ybarra explained that the team is working on it.

I guess calling it Xbox Early Access might raise some eyebrows at Valve, but it’s doubtless that the service could use some more visibility and usage. If you have your own feedback, don’t forget to respond to the tweet above and let Mike know.
