Final Fantasy XV, Wolfenstein: Youngblood Coming to Xbox Game Pass

Subscribers will also have access to the closed beta for Bleeding Edge, Ninja Theory's 4v4 online brawler, from Feb. 14-16.

Xbox Game Pass will be getting some notable additions this week from two established franchises.

Final Fantasy XV and Wolfenstein: Youngblood will be coming to the service on Thursday (Feb. 6), with the PC version of it also receiving Death’s Gambit.

Additionally, subscribers will have access to Ninja Theory’s closed beta for its 4v4 online brawler Bleeding Edge from Feb. 14-16 along with DLC updates for Dead Cells and Metro Exodus starting Feb. 11.

Released in 2016 after more than 10 years in development hell, Final Fantasy XV is a memorable albeit highly flawed adventure that tells the coming of age story of Noctis as he and his friends road trip across Eos. It sold incredibly well despite the stigma its development history attached to it, and Square Enix gave it a surprising amount of support post-launch with DLC episodes and numerous updates that only just ended a year ago.

The release of the PC “Windows Edition” in 2018 also did wonders for XV’s community support, allowing players to explore its highly-detailed world with unlocked settings. It also opened the game up to some creative mods.

Bringing co-op into the rebooted series, Wolfenstein: Youngblood takes place two decades after the events of Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, shifting the protagonist role from B.J. Blazkowicz over to his twin daughters Jessica and Sophia. It hits and misses, but gave developer MachineGames a chance to experiment ahead of a likely Wolfenstein III.

Published by Adult Swim Games and brought to the platform as an [email protected] indie title, Death’s Gambit is a 2D sidescrolling action RPG created by White Rabbit. Players take on the role of a resurrected soldier, having to fight through a medieval world that is anything but forgiving.

Other perks mentioned in the latest updates to Game Pass are access to ARK: Survival Evolved’s Valentine’s Day event, running from Feb. 11-19, and the addition of puzzle game Death Squared for console subscribers on Feb. 13.

The following title will be leaving the service soon:

  • Disney Epic Mickey 2
  • Jackbox Party Pack 2
  • Pumped BMX Pro
  • Rage
  • Shadow of the Tomb Raider
