To kick off the start of this month, Microsoft today revealed the next slate of titles that will be coming to Xbox Game Pass for consoles.

Of course, the standout release this week is that of Gears 5, which is slated to launch this Friday, September 6. Those who subscribe to Game Pass Ultimate will be able to download the Ultimate Edition of Gears 5 this week while standard subscribers will have to wait until September 10. This addition to the service has been known for quite some time considering every first-party Xbox Game Studios title hits the service on day one.

Ahead of Gears 5 though, one of 2018's best indie titles in Dead Cells will also be landing for Game Pass tomorrow. In addition, the Xbox 360 edition of the Metal Gear Solid HD Edition, which includes the second and third entry in the series, will also be dropping. Lastly, to round out the week, September 6 will also see the arrival of Creature in the Well, which launches on the same day.

And to round out the games coming in September so far, next week on September 12 will see both Enter the Gungeon and Gonner Blüeberry Edition arriving on Game Pass. All in all, it's a very solid lineup of titles that I think many will be pleased with.

Lastly, here's the slate of games that will soon be leaving Xbox Game Pass over the course of the month:

  • Onrush (September 4)
  • LEGO Batman 2 (September 6)
  • Joy Ride Turbo (September 6)
  • Splosion Man (September 6)
  • The Maw (September 6)
  • LEGO Indiana Jones (September 30)
  • Shantae: Half-Genie Hero (September 30)
  • Split/Second (September 30)
  • Ninja Gaiden Black (September 30)
  • theHunter: Call of the Wild (September 30)

And if you didn't already know, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is currently on sale for $2 which will net you two months of the service. If you want to give it a go, now is probably the best time to do so.
