Xbox Game Pass subscription, especially the Ultimate edition, is currently a big wild card that Microsoft has over Sony on its consoles, but the subscription service is seemingly supposed to grow more with some new features on the way: A family membership might be one of the biggest ones.Recently, when Phil Spencer was asked on Twitter whether there would be a solution like a family membership on Xbox Game Pass to allow multiple players to use the same subscription, he said:

We have. It's something we'd like to do. There is Home console feature for one console household but for multiple family members with consoles a family plan would help. Really appreciate the feedback.

Currently, one Xbox Game Pass subscription can only be shared between two different users through the Home console feature, however, as Spencer said, there are no solutions at the moment for sharing one subscription between more than two users.

The family membership plan is currently available on some of the well-known subscription services like Spotify, a music platform that Microsoft itself has a partnership with on Windows 10.

If Microsoft starts offering a family-type subscription on Game Pass, the fee for that will likely be more expensive than the similar membership, but since it's going to be shared between more than two people - let's say four or five - it would end up costing cheaper for each one of the users.

Since launching Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, there has been a significant increase in the number of subscriptions on Xbox Game Pass and its Ultimate version. Currently, one month of Game Pass subscription costs you $9.99 per month, while the Ultimate version costs $14.99. However, if you are about to subscribe for the first time, you can get three months of Xbox Game Pass for only $1 until the end of Christmas deals.
