With Microsoft acquiring ZeniMax, all the games from Bethesda will join Xbox Game Pass sooner or later, but it seems Doom Eternal will be the first title to land on Game Pass after merging to the Xbox family.Today, the official Twitter account for Xbox Game Pass shared a new image from an Email sent by Melissa, a fictional character of the company who tends to tease most of the big upcoming games to Game Pass with hidden messages. While the image itself doesn't seem to contain any clue, if you attempt to adjust the contrast and brightness settings of the image using a professional editing program, you will spot a hidden line reading "The Slayer is Coming."

As you may guess, Slayer is the name for the protagonist in Doom Eternal, and the term above likely teases its addition to Xbox Game Pass in the near future. Microsoft hasn't announced the upcoming line-up of games joining Game Pass in October. So, Doom Eternal might be the biggest surprise in October for all the Game Pass subscribers on Xbox One and PC. That said, the game may also hit the service earlier November as a way of celebrating Xbox Series X's launch.

Doom Eternal is currently available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The game has recently received its first post-launch expansion, Doom Eternal: The Ancient Gods Part One, which will be getting a second part on an unannounced date in the future.

Aside from Doom Eternal, some other games from Bethesda that haven't hit Xbox Game Pass yet will also be added to the service in the future. The interesting part is some of Bethesda titles such as Dishonored 2 have been removed recently from Xbox Game Pass, which makes me wonder whether those games will return to the service once again after the deal between Microsoft and Bethesda.
