It's almost October, so you know what that means. Halloweentown marathons on the Disney Channel! But seriously, today Microsoft revealed next month's set of Xbox Games With Gold and, as you might expect, it includes all kinds of spooky fun. Whether you actually want to pee your pants in fright or you just want to pretend your trick-or-treating, Xbox has you covered. Give their newest video a watch below to see everything that's coming.

First up on the Xbox Games With Gold docket is Slayaway Camp: Butcher's Cut. The puzzle game has you playing as a killer looking to murder scores of camp counselors. The isometric puzzles remind me a bit of those Lara Croft and Hitman Go games that took the mobile world by storm.

Later in the month, Xbox One players can pick up Maid of Sker from Wales Interactive. I've yet to play this one, but I loved WI's The Shapeshifting Detective, so I'm sure it'll be a delightfully spooky survival horror tale.

The backward compatible games this month are Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy and Costume Quest. Again, I've never touched Sphinx, but it looks like a fine enough action-adventure game. And Costume Quest rules. Not only is it one of my favorite Double Fine Games, but it will everyone a chance to get out and trick-or-treat on Halloween if they don't feel like braving the pandemic.

Xbox Games With Gold adds Slayaway Camp and Sphinx to Xbox One on October 1. Maid of Sker and Costume Quest hit on October 16.
