Xbox Live social services including friend list and party chat are currently suffering from connectivity issues on Xbox One and Xbox 360.

Luckily gameplay seems to be unaffected, excluding those features that require the use of the friend list.

Below you can check out the current Down Detector status, showing the spike in reports of the issue. The official Xbox One status page is unavailable as well at the moment, plagued by runtime errors.

XboxLiveDownAs usual, we’ll keep you informed on the evolution of the situation, but for now, if you can’t find your Xbox Live friends, don’t worry, you’re not alone.

Update: Microsoft mentioned that they are aware of the issue, and that they’re working on it, but they have no time estimate on a solution.

Update 2: the status page is finally available, signalling several connectivity problems across the board.

Update 3: while things aren’t solved yet, the Xbox Support twitter account promised that Microsoft’s engineers are still working to get everyone back online.

Update 4: services have now resumed normal operation.
