Xbox One Allegedly Delivered Early By Target, Selling on Ebay Starting at Almost $1000, Pictures Shown

Following an earlier report, looks like Xbox One units are indeed being sent out. Apparently Target delivered an Xbox One to eBay user priceless228, that immediately moved on to putting it up for auction, as found by NeoGaf user CrunchinJelly.

You can find the listing here, with a base price of $999.95 and a “buy it now” price of $9,995. Ouch…

What makes this seem credible is the receipt from Target, displayed in the auction listing together with pictures of the console and of the box, that you can check out in the gallery below if you want more next gen console porn to behold. There’s also a screencap of the auction listing itself, for the posterity.

Now the real question is: will anyone take the bait?

Update: we received a request from the author of the auction to remove the picture of the shipping box and the one showing the barcode for privacy reason, and we complied with the request. He also stated that the auction has been taken down once the console was found out to be unusable due to the day one patch. While the day one patch is actually already available, maybe it’s better this way, since anyone using the console risks a ban, albeit temporary.
