Xbox One and PlayStation 4 owners will be able to play Minecraft from August, developer Mojang has announced.

The game will cost $19.99 on both platforms, but if players already own the game on last gen consoles, they can cross-buy for just $4.99.

Earlier this year, Mojang announced that worlds will be transferable from last gen to current gen consoles. While this remains the case, players will not be able to transfer saves back the other way.
