Xbox One Backwards Compatibility Adds Castlevania, Alan Wake, and More; Halo Wars Comes to Preview Program

Even though the spring is already looking quite busy with the likes of Quantum BreakDark Souls III, and other big titles coming soon, Xbox One’s roster of backwards compatible titles has expanded with more games for those looking to reach back into their library with old classics and fan favorites alike.

Xbox’s Larry Hryb (aka “Major Nelson”) revealed that several new titles have been added for all to enjoy in Xbox One’s growing library of backwards compatible titles.

Specifically, the new titles added are Castlevania: Symphony of the NightAlan Wake, and the original XBLA release of Pac-Man. All three titles are available now for users that own digital copies to download through backwards compatibility.

In addition to the new backwards compatible titles, Hryb also announced that the Halo-inspired RTS Halo Wars is also available to play through backwards compatibility, but specifically for qualifying members of the Xbox One Preview Program.
