Xbox One Backwards Compatibility Now Available as Microsoft Unlocks Massively Anticipated Feature

Earlier today, Microsoft released the much awaited New Xbox One Experience, but backwards compatibility for Xbox 360 games wasn’t yet unlocked.

If you want to finally play a game of Mass Effect or Gears of War, now you can as the feature has just been unlocked as I’m writing.

All the games included in the list of 104 initial titles can now be accessed simply by inserting the disk in your tray. The game will begin downloading, as it won’t install directly from the disk.

If you have a digital copy, all you have to do is to navigate the menu to the “My Games and Apps,” and your games will be there ready to download and install in your Xbox One.

Hailing from sunny (not as much as people think) Italy and long standing gamer since the age of Mattel Intellivision and Sinclair ZX Spectrum. Definitely a multi-platform gamer, he still holds the old dear PC nearest to his heart, while not disregarding any console on the market. RPGs (of any nationality) and MMORPGs are his daily bread, but he enjoys almost every other genre, prominently racing simulators, action and sandbox games. He is also one of the few surviving fans of the flight simulator genre on Earth.
