Xbox One Controllers Will Get Windows Drivers “Very Soon,” Says Major Nelson
Windows compatibility has been an oft requested feature for the Xbox One controller, and fans will be getting it soon, director of programming for Microsoft Larry ‘Major Nelson’ Hryb has said.
Posting in a request thread on NeoGAF, he stated that the promised drivers that would allow the controllers to work with a PC would be arriving “very soon.”
Earlier this year, Microsoft announced that the Windows driver would be available for all Xbox One controllers, with no plans to release a PC only controller.
Currently the controllers have only been confirmed to work with PCs via a wired connection, with no indication as to whether a wireless adapter is in the works for PC gamers.
