Xbox One Exclusive Raiden V Will Be Released in North America and Europe After Japanese Launch

on February 25, 2016 11:50 AM

The bullet hell shoot ’em up Raiden V will launch tomorrow in Japan, exclusively on Xbox One, yet Moss does not plan to keep the game confined in the archipelago of the rising sun, as mentioned by Founder Toshinobu Komazawa in an interview on the local site Inside Games:

“[the game] is scheduled for release in North America and Europe. Shoot ’em up fans from overseas are many and enthusiastic. We receive more messages from foreigners via social networks and email asking “is it going to be released overseas?” or “why on Xbox One?!” than from local fans.

So, there you have it. While we don’t yet know when the game is coming west, if you want to revisit the glorious Raiden franchise on Xbox One without needing to be able to read moon runes, you will be able to do so down the line.

Incidentally, if you’re curious on why the game is releasing on Xbox One to begin with, you can find the answer here.
