Today Microsoft announced that the Xbox One Holiday Update (numbered 10.0.14393.12123) is rolling out, but today’s announcement did not mention an interesting element that was instead included in the full patch notes. The Xbox team has also worked on improving navigation and app launching speed, as well as download times and the responsiveness of Cortana.

“Performance

We’ve been doing a lot of work to speed up your Xbox. From navigation and opening apps to download times and Cortana’s responsiveness, the whole experience is getting smoother and faster.”

This is certainly not secondary. considering that a quick operating system is crucial to the experience provided by a console, and that improved download times are always welcome.

Looks like Xbox One owners are in for another quality update.
