Famitsu just released its figures for the sales of Xbox One in Japan during its first week on the shelves, and according to the magazine, and its publisher Enterbrain, the console sold 23,562 from September the 4th to September 7th.

Famitsu also mentioned the first three best selling games, which are Titanfall, with 22,416 units sold, and Kinect Sports Rivals, with 14,919 units sold. Dead Rising 3 is third with 7,330 units sold. The numbers include the copies of Titanfall and Kinect Sport Rivals sold bundled with the Day One Edition with Kinect.

It's definitely a rather mediocre launch, but the generation has just begun in the archipelago of the rising sun. Will Microsoft manage to steer the ship in the right direction with titles like Scalebound and Phantom Dust? The future will tell.
