Today Microsoft detailed the events that will celebrate the launch of its new console, the Xbox One X.

A launch livestream from the launch celebration in New York will be hosted on Mixer, Twitch, Facebook, and YouTube Live. It will air from 8 PM Pacific Time (11 PM EST) on November 6th, and it'll last one hour.

Incidentally, if you are in New York yourself you can check out the celebration for yourself at the flagship Microsoft Store on Fifth Avenue. Microsoft will be distributing exclusive Xbox swag and you'll have a chance to win a new Samsung QLED 4K TV.

Giveaways and gameplay demos will also be hosted at Microsoft Stores across North America, and you'll be able to pick up pre-orders a 9 PM Pacific Time (Midnight EST). GameStop stores and over 600 Best Buy locations will also do the same. On the other side of the world, EB Games will have midnight launches in Australia and New Zealand.

More launch events will also be hosted in Europe and in the United Kingdom. Here are a few examples:

  • Germany: On November 6, fans in Germany will be able to attend a gaming event hosted by PietSmiet, LefLoid, Gronkh and Ninotaku on Berlin’s largest 4K theater screen for 700 fans. The event will be also streamed on Mixer.
  • France: On November 6, fans are invited to tune into a seven-hour non-stop livestream on mixer.com/xbox hosted by one of France’s top YouTubers in central Paris. More than 200 French fans and celebrities will gather to play new titles and celebrate the launch of Xbox One X, culminating in a midnight launch event at France’s flagship store at the Champs Elysees.
  • United Kingdom: Broadcasting live from the Xbox One X Loft in London on November 6, join us for the “Countdown to Xbox One X” on Mixer and all Xbox UK channels for our extended livestream as we count down to launch with some of our favorite games.

Microsoft has been promoting the Xbox One X quite heavily, and during the weekend released a worldwide ad focusing on the console’s power, after teasing it with several smaller clips (of which you can see the first, the second, the third, and the fourth).

If you want to hear more info on the upcoming console, you can catch up with our interviews with Product Manager Ryan Moore and Samsung National Training Manager Scott Cohen (talking about the partnership between Microsoft and the TV manufacturer). The Xbox One X will launch worldwide on November 7th, 2017.
