2020 is going to be a huge year for both Xbox and PlayStation with both of their next-generation consoles planning to launch during the holiday season. We already know a decent amount regarding both the PS5 as well as Project Scarlett which is apparently two different Xbox consoles that include the higher-powered "Anaconda" and the lower-powered "Lockhart".  It seems as though that one or maybe even both consoles specs and designs are potentially in completion as Head of Xbox Phil Spencer has confirmed that he has the project at home and has congratulated his team for their hard work.

Spencer went to Twitter to share the news but doesn't really specify whether or not he is playing on Anaconda, Lockhart, or both. Lockhart is rumored to be very similar if not a little bit more powerful than the current Xbox One X. With that in mind, it is likely that he is specifically talking about Anaconda. Regardless, it will be interesting to see how the next generation of console wars turns out. In my opinion, Microsoft absolutely killed it with the Xbox One X so I can't wait to see what they will do with the most recent gaming technology for Anaconda.

Whether your preferred system is PlayStation or Xbox, 2020 is shaping to be a fantastic year for gamers. With spring releasing numerous anticipated titles like Final Fantasy VII Remake, DOOM Eternal, and Cyberpunk 2077 just to name a few, there will be tons of games to play leading up to next holiday and outside of Halo Infinite, we don't even know what to expect in the fall and I cannot wait to see what will be offered.
