Firaxis Games has announced that as of today XCOM 2 on PC can finally be played using a controller, a feature that fans have been requesting essentially since the game's launch.

The critical acclaimed strategy game features plug & play compatibility with both Xbox One and Xbox 360 controllers, while other alternate controller options may require additional user adjustments.

The images below shows exactly how controllers will work both in the strategy layer, as well as on the battlefield.

Controller-equipped PC players can now also activate a free camera mode, which completely unhinges the camera, allowing you to free roam around any of the game's environments. It can also be used in combination with Replay Mode to set up some sick nasty custom screen shots.
