XCOM 2 for PS4 and Xbox One Delayed to September 27th to Ensure Polish at Launch

During Take-Two’s quarterly results conference call, the publisher announced that the PS4 and Xbox One version of XCOM 2 will be delatyed by a few weeks.

The game was supposed to release in North America on September 6th, but will now be launched on September 27th, while the new European release date will be September 30th.

The delay was deemed necessary “to ensure that the game is fully polished at launch, and meets the team’s high standards for the critically acclaimed PC hit.”

XCOM 2 was originally released on PC on February 5th.
