E3 could be about to get incredibly interesting if recent leaks are to be believed. According to a currently unnamed source, information surrounding a large portion of games by developer 2K Games have surfaced online, including an XCOM-style Marvel title. Some of which may even be ready to make an appearance at E3 2021.

Although the original information comes from an unknown source, it appears to have been on the radar of Bloomberg reporter, Jason Schreier. When the leak was brought to Schreier on Twitter,

">he simply replied, "I was wondering if people would notice this leak", adding to the speculation that it may indeed be legitimate.

As usual with leaks such as this, it's important to take it with a grain of salt and remember that nothing is official until it comes directly from the developers.

The leak in question comes from a user on Reddit, who claims to have a source "more or less directly from 2K". He goes on to state that the following information is a few weeks old and his source has now seen a trailer and/or promotional material for the mentioned games.

Jason Schreier, a reporter for Bloomberg, also had his attention caught by the leak when he replied to a user on Twitter regarding the leaked information.

The games reportedly in development at 2K Games are NBA 2K22, Wonderlands, a New Firaxis Game, and Codename Volt. The Reddit user gives various bits of information about each game, but most notably that the new Firaxis Game will be a turn-based action game that uses Marvel properties.

According to his source, the turn-based game will be "XCOM with Marvel Heroes". He also goes on to state that famous actors will be voicing the characters in the game.

Of course, a new NBA title was to be expected for 2022, but one of the other shocking pieces of information is surrounding Wonderlands. According to the Reddit user, Wonderlands will be a Borderlands spin-off featuring Tiny Tina.

Tiny Tina's Wonderland is rumoured to be the final title as Gearbox have already trademarked the name, further adding to the legitimacy of this leak. So, could we see the new Marvel-style XCOM and Borderlands spin-off at 2K's E3 show?

Fans are currently expecting 2K Games to showcase the latest instalment of NBA 2K as well as a possible new entry into the Bioshock series. However, not much is know about what will actually be shown by 2K at E3, so the aforementioned leaks could be about to take centre stage when 2K is up.

We've got everything crossed that these leaks turn out to be true, because who wouldn't want more Borderlands as well as an XCOM-style Marvel title. Plus, if the source of this information has already seen trailers and promotional material, it's likely that the games are in their final stages of development.

Remember to take all of this information with a grain of salt, and keep your eyes on E3 when it kicks off on June 12 to find out more.
