Monolith Software's upcoming open-world JRPG Xenoblade Chronicles 2 has a really nice mix of artists working on the design of its rare blades.

Some are very famous, like Kia Asamiya or Takahiro Kimura, while others are a bit more obscure. This is the case with the artist announced today, I-IV (which you read I-Four, by the way). While you may not know his nickname, you possibly saw his work as mecha designer of the anime series Aldnoah.Zero and Re:Creators. He also recently worked on some character designers for Fate/Grand Order.

The new blade is named Idaten, and it's characterized by a cute and slightly odd design. While its designer may be a little less known, its voice is definitely famous. It's Aya Hirano, whom many will know for  Haruhi Suzumiya, Misa Amane in Death Note, and Lucy Heartfilia in Fairy Tails.

You can see what Idaten looks like in art and video below.

If you want to see more, you can also enjoy another batch of screenshots and videos from a few days agomore screenshots featuring the Argentum Trade Guild and its Boss, two characters designed by Tetsuya Nomura, one by Code Geass character designer Takahiro Kimuraone by  Takeshi Nogami, one by Kia Asamiya, and one by  Boogiepop character designer Kouji Ogata.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 will release launch worldwide exclusively for Nintendo Switch on December 1st.
