During a Nintendo Direct focusing on Xenoblade Chronicles 2, we received a new trailer alongside a slew of cool announcements for the game. At the end of the direct, Nintendo announced that an expansion pass is available to pre-purchase today.

We got a quick look at what the content schedule will look like going into 2018. Expansion pass owners can look forward to some extra support items when the game releases. New quests will also be added sometime in January of 2018. Afterwards, a rare blade will be added into the game once spring rolls around as well as a new battle mode in the summer. Finally, some brand-new story content will be added in the Fall.  The expansion pass will cost players $29.99, you can look at the schedule for yourself down below.

As for the other announcements, Japanese audio will be included with the game as day one DLC. Also, a new trailer was revealed that introduces us to what is probably most of the cast in Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Finally, you'll be able to acquire Rex's costume in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild for free through a side quest.

Xenoblade Chronicles will be making its way exclusively to the Nintendo Switch later this year on December 1.
