Nintendo and Monolith Software recently published a lot more assets of their upcoming open-world JRPG Xenoblade Chronicles 2.

First of all, we get to see the start screen of the game, both in screenshot form off the screen of a Switch unit. Secondly, we get to see two battle screenshots, that show that even using the same weapon, different characters will be able to activate different artes with it.

Secondly, we see two new rare blades (also showcased in videos, alongside artwork). Yuuou is a water-type designed by Soraya Saga of Xenogears and Xenosaga fame, not to mention Director Tetsuya Takahashi's wife. He is voiced by Tomoaki Maeno, who lent his voice to Kyo Kusanagi in The King of Fighters XIV.

Zakuro is a powerful lightning-type blade, designed by popular illustrator Shunya Yamashita, and voiced by Chinatsu Akasaki (Anju in the Utawarerumono series)

Last, but not least, we also get to see a ton of beautiful environments in screenshots published today by Nintendo of America on the official website of the game. Among them we can see the Imperial Province of Gormott, the Kingdom of Uraya, the Empire of Mor Ardain, the Argentum Trade Guild, and the Indoline Praetorium.

Check them all out below. If you want to see more, you can also enjoy more screenshots featuring the Argentum Trade Guild and its Boss, two characters designed by Tetsuya Nomura, one by Code Geass character designer Takahiro Kimura, one by  Takeshi Nogami, and one by  Boogiepop character designer Kouji Ogata. You can also watch some recent gameplay, and the latest trailer.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 will launch worldwide exclusively for Nintendo Switch on December 1st.
