Xenoblade Chronicles X, the latest JRPG from Monolith Software, hits the Wii U in North America today. Along with massive data pack downloads to speed up load times, a patch has been released for the game that includes minor updates to some in-game text.

As of December, 4 2015 a new software update has been made available for the Xenoblade Chronicles X game. Users will be required to download this update prior to using the software's online multiplayer features. Because of this, we strongly recommend that all Xenoblade Chronicles X players download and install this update.

• You can still use previous save data after downloading this update.
• If the system's Standby Functions are enabled, the update will download and install automatically.
• This update must be applied in order to use the Internet features of Xenoblade Chronicles X.

This patch is required for any player who wishes to use the online aspects of Xenoblade Chronicles X. An issue with the game's availability caused a slight hiccup on the eShop last night, but was quickly resolved.
