It's been a long wait to see exactly what Xenon Racer would have in store for players, but dare I say it's been worth the wait. The gameplay reveal should be just enough get racing fans all riled up for its release later this year.

Originally announced back in October of last year, Xenon Racer is a no-nonsense racing title from 3DClouds and Soedesco. Based in the near future, the game puts players in control of sleek electrically charged vehicles which guzzle up Xenon gas for unrivaled speeds.

The trailer below gives us a taste of what we can expect to see when Xenon Racer lands on consoles and PC. Sun-drenched tracks pave the way for high-speed races are they zip through futuristic cityscapes, airports, and deep forests. The gameplay looks mesmerizingly smooth as cars drift gracefully around corners and trade with one another in spark-filled scrapes to secure pole position.

We also get a peek at some of the modes that the game has to offer. Along with your standard races, there is also a checkpoint attack mode which will see players racing against the clock. For those who want to game with their friends, there is the choice of both online multiplayer and good old fashioned split-screen.

Xenon Racer is set for release on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch on March 26, 2019.
