Akiba’s Trip: Undead & Undressed was already a title ripe with many references and parodied nerd culture tropes, such as Japanese anime and manga culture, pop culture, internet culture and more. Today, however, XSeed announced a bold move that's sure to turn heads.

The company announced on their official Twitter account that the localization of the title will not only contain both Japanese and English voice acting but will even offer male fanservice for the ladies playing the wacky game:

A recent interview also confirms the bonus content, and even went into detail about what the naughty content will be:

Speaking of strip action, Akiba’s Trip: Undead and Undressed has some brand new content for the West. The game has unlockable strip portraits which you can use as wallpaper for the game’s menu, which is designed like a cell phone. The Japanese version only had female strip portraits, but Xseed’s release includes brand new strip portraits for male characters.

Honestly, it's great to see this kind of thing done in a video game. There's nothing wrong with a bit of fanservice but it becomes a drag when it's a one-way street, especially when it disregards the fact that half of women play games as well. Hopefully we'll see more of this gender-balanced content in future fanservice titles.
