Today Sega made the demo of the upcoming Yakuza 2 full remake Yakuza Kiwami 2 available on the Japanese PlayStation Store.

The demo weighs a whopping 9.89 gigabytes and can be downloaded here, allowing players to take a glimpse at part of the upcoming game. Of course, it's in Japanese, buy if you're familiar with Yakuza games you shouldn't have any particular trouble playing through it. Just remember that X and Circle are inverted compared to western standards. You confirm with circle in menus and cancel with X.

In order to download and play the demo, you'll also need a Japanese PSN account. If you don't know how to make one, you can find out how to, alongside with a few housekeeping tips, in our dedicated article.

If you want to see more about the game, you can check out a gallery of screenshots showcasing minigames, another batch showing the beautiful new rendition of Osakamore showcasing the game’s hostesses and gangsters,  a recent set of trailers featuring story and gameplay, and more videos on the actors involved: one featuring the main cast, and a second featuring additional characters. One more video features the charming ladies cast for the Gravure Model minigame.

Yakuza Kiwami 2 will launch in Japan exclusively for PS4 on December 7th, 2017. No western release has been announced for now, or even hinted to, but we’re getting Yakuza 6 on March 20th, 2018.
