The latest Yakuza title is a departure from the series, although only in terms of gameplay. Yakuza: Like a Dragon is still bringing notable voice actors to the table, both for the game's Japanese and English versions. However, the upcoming Yakuza title's western release has a treat for players: the voice of George Takei.

Announced in a recent video featuring the game's English Dub actors, Yakuza: Like a Dragon will also feature the voice of Kaiji Tang. Tang will be filling the role of Ichiban Kasuga, Like a Dragon's wild-haired protagonist. Meanwhile, Takei will be providing the voice of Masumi Arakawa, a former Tojo Clan member turned leader of the Arakawa family and father of Ichiban Kasuga.

In case the name George Takei doesn't ring any bells, the actor is best known for his role in the original Star Trek series as Lieutenant Hikaru Sulu. Kaiji Tang's career has been more geared towards anime, having provided the voices of Big G from Doraemon, Hendrickson from The Seven Deadly Sins and Guts from Berserk.

Western Yakuza fans will be able to hear the voices of George Takei and Kaiji Tang in Yakuza: Like a Dragon when it is released this November. When it launches, the game will be available on both current and next-gen consoles, launching alongside the Xbox Series X and arriving on the PS5 at a later date.
