UPDATE: It seems as though the official release date for Yakuza: Like a Dragon may have now been disclosed. Spotted on the Xbox storefront, the game is said to be launching on Friday, November 13. It remains to be seen if this comes true just yet, but the Xbox store has been known to leak launch dates in the past. We'll likely hear something more official from Sega at some point soon.

The original story can be found below.

At long last, we now know when Yakuza: Like a Dragon will be coming to the west. Or, well, we at least have a specific window now.

Revealed via IGN, Sega announced today that Yakuza: Like a Dragon will officially be coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC in November of this year. Additionally, a PS5 iteration of the game has now been confirmed to be released as well, but Sega hasn't committed to when this version of the game will launch and has instead just stated that it will come "at a later date." Those who buy the game on PS4 though will seemingly get a free upgrade to PS5 once it comes to that platform. Meanwhile, the Xbox Series X version of the game is still said to be arriving in Holiday 2020 alongside the arrival of the console.

It's also worth mentioning that, unlike some next-gen games, Yakuza: Like a Dragon will be retailing for the typical fare of $59.99. 2K Games, in particular, made waves a few weeks back when it announced that the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions of NBA 2K21 would see a $10 price increase to $69.99. Clearly, Sega is proving that not all next-generation games will follow this pattern, although this could perhaps only be specific to Yakuza: Like a Dragon.

Lastly, a new trailer for Like a Dragon was also released today and it continues to verify that the game looks awesome. The video, which you can find attached above, is nearly two minutes in length and shows off a whole bunch of new cutscenes and gameplay footage from the title. Considering just how much we like the Yakuza series here at DualShockers, you know that our staff is extremely excited for this one.

While we still don't have a firm release date to go off of, it's nice to know when those of us here in the west will finally be able to get our hands on Yakuza: Like a Dragon. A more specific launch date will likely come about within the next few weeks, so stay tuned.
