Yakuza: Like a Dragon Finally Launches November 13
Players who haven't embraced the Gokudo by spending years learning Japanese will now be able to enjoy Yakuza: Like A Dragon on November 13.
Sega has finally revealed the western release date of Yakuza: Like a Dragon, November 13. The game will launch on this date on PS4, Xbox One, PC via Steam, Windows 10.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon first launched in Japan on January 16, 2020. It’s a PS4 exclusive over there. The game, titled Ryu Ga Gotoku 7 Hikari to Yami no Yukue in the archipel, is a full-fledged turn-based JRPG unlike its predecessors. Considering the huge amount of text any Yakuza game as, this is definitely faster than what you could usually expect when it comes to Japanese games’ localization. A world wide release would definitely be nice for future entries though.
Note that the release dates for the PS5 version and the Xbox Series X version of the game weren’t announced. Needless to say, Yakuza: Like A Dragon launching November 13 doesn’t mean that the next-generation consoles will be out by then.
The game will be available on Xbox Series X on the console’s “launch day”, and is “TBA” for PS5.
Yakuza: Like A Dragon Release Date Trailer
Yakuza: Like A Dragon mainly takes place in Yokohama and stars Ichiban Kasuga, the first new main protagonist in the history of the franchise. Ichiban’s story will make him cross path with friends and foes, and he and his party members can have access to over 20 different Jobs. Each with different attires and skills.
In Japan, Yakuza: LAD also recently got a DLC pack adding New Game +, new difficulty modes, a bonus dungeon, and a lot more. That DLC was virtually free at first. While not confirmed yet, it’s likely all this content will be included from the start in the western version. The official English Twitter account for the series will surely mention that in the next few weeks.
