Today Sega opened pre-registrations for its upcoming mobile game Ryu Ga Gotoku Online, or Yakuza Online as it would be called in the west.

The game is a mobile title that will be released for iOS, Android, and PC this year. At the moment there is no precise date for the launch in Japan. Of course, it will be free to play with optional microtransactions.

Alongside the announcement, we also got a new trailer giving a further look to the new protagonist of the series, Ichiban Kasuga. He is supposed to appear both on this game and on the next big console title, which for now is simply codenamed Shin Ryu Ga Gotoku.

Pre-registration is available here, even if of course, the game has only been announced for Japan so far. If pre-registrations reach 100,000, everyone will get an SSR idol Haruka.

This is normally the period in which new Yakuza games are announced yearly, but this one is all we got so far.

You can check out the trailer below, alongside a video featuring the development team, promising another look at the game at Tokyo Game Show. You can also check out an earlier trailer from last year.
