Yakuza 3, 4, and 5 Remastered are Heading West with Yakuza 3 Out Now

The PS3 entries in the Yakuza series are now heading west to the PS4, making the entire mainline saga available on one platform.

After releasing Yakuza Kiwami 1 and 2 in the west over the past few years, it seemed likely that Sega would opt to bring the next three remastered installments in the series to the west sooner or later, too. Today during Gamescom, we finally received confirmation of such.

Sega announced that The Yakuza Remastered Collection is heading to PS4 consoles for those in the western region. This collection is made of the PS3 games in the series and includes Yakuza 3Yakuza 4, and Yakuza 5. Perhaps best of all with this news though, is that Yakuza 3 is available right this moment.

Yes, if you’re looking to snag the third entry in the series on your own PS4 now, you can do so. Yakuza 3 Remastered will be available to download today and Sega also announced dates for the next two entries as well. Yakuza 4 Remastered will drop later this fall on October 29, 2019, and Yakuza 5 Remastered will then arrive early next year on February 11, 2020. All three games can be downloaded digitally as they arrive over the coming months, or you can hold off and purchase a physical edition of The Yakuza Remastered Collection which will include all three titles and will launch next February.

This news isn’t all that shocking (except for the part where Yakuza 3 is out today) as it always seemed like these versions would come westward in due time. Still, it’s wonderful to now have the entire Yakuza saga from Yakuza 0 all the way up until last year’s release of Yakuza 6 all on a single platform.

If you want to purchase the full Yakuza Remastered Collection bundle, it will cost you $59.99. Conversely, you can now also purchase the Yakuza Origins Digital Bundle on PS4 which includes Yakuza 0Yakuza Kiwami 1, and Yakuza Kiwami 2 all for $49.99.
