Today Yandere Simulator developer "Yanderedev" announced that he will partner with Hello Neighbor publisher TinyBuild in order to receive help in completing the game.

The deal allows Yanderedev to retain ownership of the IP, and full creative control as the game's Lead Designer and Creative Director. He will also have final say on merchandising and marketing, and there aren't any deadlines set in stone for the game's development.

On the other hand, TinyBuild is going have a team in place to help with development, including a professional programmer who will clean up the code base. Volunteers who have worked with YandereDev on the game so far will continue to do so, and some might become paid contractors.

While TinyBuild will help with development, they won't be able to fully fund the game, so there will either be a Kickstarter campaign in the future, or a model similar to Hello Neighbor may be adopted, asking fans to pay for access to the game's alpha, with the promise of receiving the full version as soon as it's finished.
