Today Level-5 announced a Japanese release window for its upcoming JRPG Yo-Kai Watch 4.

The game will launch on the local shelves in winter 2018, exclusively for Nintendo Switch.

Interestingly, the player will be able to explore three different worlds set in three time periods. The first is, of course, the main timeline in which protagonist Keita lives. The second world (Shadowside) is set thirty years after, featuring Keita’s daughter Natsume. The third world goes back to the past (in the sixties) and is the setting of the upcoming movie Yo-Kai Watch: Forever Friends, featuring its protagonist Shin.

To accompany the announcement, we got a screenshots showing the brand new visuals created for the Switch, key artwork showcasing the concept of the doors between the worlds, and character art showing the protagonists and their yokai friends.
