Level-5 decided to go the Pokémon GO way with its popular (in Japan) franchise Yo-Kai Watch. Today, during a livestream from Japan the publisher announced Yo-Kai Watch World.

The game is developed in collaboration with GungHo Online Entertainment, and mixes location-based gameplay with augmented reality, prompting players to find the franchise's familiar Yokai in the real world.

The Android version of the game has already been released today in Japan for both iOS and Android, even if there is no information on a possible worldwide launch.

Below you can watch the whole livestream that showcased plenty of gameplay and a trailer. You can also check out the first screenshots and see if they make you look forward to plating the game when (and if) it'll invade the west.

Personally, this certainly isn't the kind of game I'm interested to see from Level-5, but I'm sure many will be interested, especially in Japan, where the  Yo-Kai Watch franchise is quite popular.
