Namco Bandai released today a large batch of new screenshots of the PS Vita Exclusive Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment, that will be released in Japan next year.

We finally learn that the new character introduced with the game is named Philia, and the game will start in the city of Arc Sofia, on the 76th level of Aincrad.

A few funny features will be introduced in the new game, like the ability to see the world in first person view, to hold a female partner’s hand and to carry her in the protagonist’s arms. More importantly, it’ll be also possible to customize Kirito (including name, face, hair and eyes, clothes and weapons), effectively creating our own protagonist.

Multiplayer with up to four players (eight characters, four players and four partners) will also be available, and partners will be customizable as well.

Below you can enjoy the new screenshots published today, while we hope that Namco Bandai will see the light and bring the game stateside.
