We reported earlier this week that the PlayStation Vita will only support one PlayStation Network account per system. Well, here’s a bit of clarification from Sony Computer Entertainment of America:
“Your PSN ID is bonded to your memory card and your memory card is bonded to your Vita,” Sony associate brand marketing manager Crystal MacKenzie told Wired.
So there you have it: the Vita will, indeed, allow you to have multiple PSN accounts, you’ll just need a different proprietary memory card for each one. Looks like you’ll be able to download international releases with a bit less hassle. Users will also be able to format the card in order to switch which account is affiliated with it.
