French developer Nadeo has announced today that ShootMania Storm and TrackMania 2 Stadium will both have their multiplayer portions available for fans to use for free through April 2015. Users that register the game can receive 48 hours of unlimited use to Trackmania 2 Canyon and Valley and both game's community created content, with a daily limit imposed after the grace period.

The move is a bit bold, but perhaps necessary to bolster both game's community. ShootMania Storm was meant to take off as a regularly streamed eSport with community creation tools keeping players absorbed, but since releasing in 2013 it has failed to gain any audience on services like Twitch, getting lost in a sea new games and massive established communities. With the move to make both titles available for free for several months, there is a small chance that Nadeo could salvage the game and create a more stable community for the regular few people who still enjoy the game.

If you are interested in checking out either ShootMania Storm or TrackMania 2 Stadium while it is free, you can head over to Nadeo's website to download both games.
