You Will Puke If You Play Hexagon Hungover

March 4, 2012

Terry Cavanaugh’s produced a divinely simple puzzle game for Pirate Kart 2012, and it is not for those sensitive to bright colors, sudden movements, and generally trippy environments. Hexagon is a fairly straightforward puzzler that involves the player avoiding getting hit by the walls in a hexagonal maze.

The controls are simple, the gameplay is shallow, but the fun factor is through the roof, especially if you’ve just woken up from a bourbon-induced stupor. Not saying I did that per se, but yes, Hexagon is an absolute delight if you feel like you’re spinning when you close your eyes.

You should probably have a bucket around if you do so though. Check it here.

Allen is an utter whore of a gamer; he's completely open-minded to all games, be they AAA blockbusters or $5 casual children's games. His focus is on indie games specifically, valuing gameplay and ingenuity over sparkly visuals and ridiculous gimmicks. When he's not geeking out over the newest art game, he's out toning his sexy, sculpted shoulders while surfing epic 1.5ft waves, or having a good time with local, high-gravity microbrews.
