Youkai Watch gets Ghastly New Screenshots

By Kenneth Richardson

May 20, 2013

New screenshots of Level 5’s Nintendo 3DS adventure game Youkai Watch (known in English as Ghost Watch) have been released. These screens show lots of game-play and there’s also a good bit of art here as well. This game’s visual style is really colorful, maybe even somewhat kiddie. It kind of reminds me of a Studio Ghibli film. Some of the ghost designs are absolutely hideous, but then I don’t think that they were supposed to be cute. It would be nice if this game was localized for western release, but for some reason that seems unlikely.

Youkai Watch will be available in Japan on July 11th. Check out the new screenshots below.
